Independent Idols

Independent Idols are a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based power-pop and hard rock outfit featuring vocalist RYAN CHARLES, guitarist BRYAN ARZAGA, drummer TONY MYERS, and bassist DAN MORRISSEY. Together, Independent Idols craft hook-heavy and tuneful rock music reminiscent of artists such as Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, and Soundgarden to name a few. Forming in 2005, INDEPENDENT IDOLS craft radio-friendly, yet edgy hard-rock originals, and also perform reinterpreted covers of songs like Lionel Richie’s “Hello,” Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” and a hard rock version of Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice!”

Independent Idols are experienced and professional artists, performing at regional and local venues and events, (Summerfest, Riversplash, Waukesha County and Wisconsin State Fairs), and music showcases (SXSW, Midwest Music Convention), have opened for national acts (Theory Of A Dead Man, Blue Oyster Cult, Chicago and others), and headlined at a variety venues and events across the state and the Midwest. The band has made television appearances as well (Fox 6 Wake Up News, Milwaukee) and even licensed a song for the former television program “Party of Five,” which was featured on the first season box set release. The band has just released its third independent recording, recorded and product by Grammy Award winning local producer Dave Vartanian.

INDEPENDENT IDOLS’ originals breed familiarity within the ear of the listener. Hooks and familiarity make the Idols’ music entertaining, offering mass appeal across a wide spectrum of age groups and fan’s tastes. Most listeners swear that they have heard the band’s music before on the radio after hearing their music for the first time. INDEPENDENT IDOLS deliver a complete entertainment experience, performing great power-pop/hard rock with an effervescent, enthusiastic and child-like energy!
